The Dawn

“Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before”

Edgar Allan Poe

Sleepless at night, watching the empty street, the darkness filling the sky, dreaming while my eyes are open, dreaming dreams no one can handle;

Dreaming of you and me, of your touch, of your eyes talking to me with no words, of your lips, asking me to stay closer, of your heart beating for me…

Dreaming of the world that waits for me to see, of the adventure to have, of the places I have never been to, of people I have never met, of the world that will know my name;

Dreaming of love that never ends, that never grows old, of mad love, of two becoming one, of love that no one ever experienced.

Sleepless at night, waiting for the fine line of light, that thin light that breaks the darkness and fills the sky with new beginnings, with hope, with maybes, with new failures and success, with love, and freedom…

Oh, my mad world, you are not enough for all the dreams I have…

Sleepless at night, watching the sky change and the dawn come to break the darkness with its crisp scent, watching the first sun rays break through the clouds and find its way to my eyes…
