Hello everyone, how’s everything going with you? How’s life? It’s Monday, I know, who loves Mondays or ever ready for it! But I’ll try to make this Monday easier on you here, today we have something entertaining and let’s say it’s a movie night, or movie talk, it’s about a movie; what movie?
1st, let’s grab our coffee or any drink you prefer and go together to have a talk and some fun with today’s movie…
I believe in magic in this world, somehow when you decide you want something and work for it, it seems like it wants you too so it gets closer until you get it; sometimes it’s hard to get but at last you get it.
Today’s movie is “Julie and Julia” This movie was made in 2009, wow, it’s been 16 years, I remember watching the Academy Awards that year and I loved the Academy that year so much, and Meryl Streep was nominated as Best Actress, fun fact I didn’t watch the movie then nor after the Academy or sooner, but i watched it couple of weeks ago, and believe me I don’t know why I didn’t watch it before, but as I said I believe in magic and this movie was like a magic message for me in a difficult time I was and still in…
Let me give you a summary of the movie, it’s about a real-life story, about a girl called Julie, who is working as an employee and is married, she loves her husband and he loves her and they support each other, Julie loves kitchen and cooking and it’s for her like meditation and passion, she also loves Julia child a professional cooker and have her book of recipes, one day she decides to make all the recipes in Julia’s book and blog about it daily, that wish came from her loving cooking and writing and trying to do something different fir herself, wishing that people read her blog and follow her challenge for a whole year.
On the other side we get back by time and see Julia Child becoming the famous Julia Child we all know and how she and her husband are in love and supportive of each other…
The story goes from the time of Julie to the time of Julia and shows some similarities in their lives and how when they decided to do something they got consistent and achieved it; as I said I never watched it before, but when I noticed it and decided this time to watch, it was like a magical message…
To understand me, it’ll tell you, I’m now experiencing difficulties in everything, my career, my passion as a writer and photographer, and I can’t find a job, even as a freelancer I can’t find anything; I struggle with new issues and my parents’ sickness, money issues, and the last but not least facing everything alone, no friends or anyone around to even hug me and just say that everything will be okay.
So watching this movie now was magical and made me realize that I failed but that doesn’t mean I should give up or stop dreaming and making my dreams come true, it made me remember that failure is a part of learning and succeeding.
In this movie, you watch a simple girl wishing for something, and with little support and consistency she will become famous and successful while making her wish true; not just her, but let’s go back to Julia Child who believed in herself and kept learning cooking and learning French recipes to become a professional and make books about it to help non French to cook French delicious recipes…
It made me realize that we all face our share of difficulties and problems, but that’s not the end of the line, no, you’re not dead yet to stop believing, dreaming, and working to achieve your goals and dreams, and I still believe that I can and I’ll make my dreams come true, that this blog, my blog will be famous and people will read it, that I’ll be the best selling novelist and successful photographer, and why should I not believe when life always teach us that people who believe in themselves and work for it, they get what they want.
